🌻 Let Go of Your Own Mindsets in Order to Hear Others / 107
An apple harvested in the North wants to know what a durian harvested in the tropics is thinking. If the apple already assumes he knows the climate in the tropics based on his pre-existing mindset, it will never truly understand and empathise with the circumstance of the durian. Can you put yourself in the other's shoes? How can you understand the feelings of a person who has a completely different experience from your own? Let go of your own pre-existing stereotypes and mindsets and listen wholeheartedly to others. What would I do if I were him? How will I be able to better empathise and understand how he felt in his situation? You should concentrate on providing a better listening ear for others and strive to learn from practitioners who are already capable of doing so.
